Family Home Haircuts
Carson before |
For those who don't know the story, Clarke's brother Smokey in California gets his hair cut by his wife. We were down to visit them when I was pregnant with Carson. Cherlyn thought that I should cut Clarke's hair for him so while we were down there we both gave our hubby's a haircut. When we got back home Clarke shaved his head bald and has done so ever since.

Jay before and after |
Nathan after - he was wiggly tonight so I'm not happy with his hair but he is. |

Cowboy wannabes...
Carson came downstairs dressed like this.
We have told him numerous times that his jeans need to come down farther when wearing cowboy boots but he is convinced that since he is 5 he needs jeans that have 5 in the waist when he actually wears 6 and 7s most of the time (but those are on days that I put his clothes out for him!) Anyway, if you look close you will also notice that the shirt is not buttoned properly either. Uncle Jason thinks that I dress my children like this on purpose. Not so. He did this all on his own.
Nathan is pictured in the background and he decided that he too wanted to be a cowboy today. He put on his jeans and boots and his cowboy belt. All the boys have belts with buckles from Uncle Jason. Nathan is sure that it is Uncle Jason on the belt buckles. He dropped his belt, picked it up, and then informed me that it was "okay, Uncle Jason isn't broken!"
At the Home Show that we went to this afternoon everyone kept commenting on the boys gear and Nathan would happily lift his shirt and stick his belly out for everyone to see "Uncle Jason" which is what he now calls his buckle! I didn't have the camera with me to get a shot of him and his little belly but it was good for a chuckle from everyone who saw it.

"Popping!!"
This is what Nathan calls it when we make volcanoes with mentos. I found Diet Coke for $0.87 a bottle this week at the Rexall Drugs. I bought all they had to make volcanoes. I showed the bottles to Nathan and asked if he knew what they were for and he went running into the house to get his brothers yelling "popping! It's time for popping!"
