Lax to the Max Tournament

Jay in net.
Medicine Hat has a lacrosse tournament at home.  The boys had 3 games to play in the round robin and ended up playing for bronze.
Jay shaking hands with the High River team.
They have a professional photographer at the tourney.  This was a good shot of Jay and you can see him blocking the ball.  I didn't think it was a $25 shot though and none of the other pictures that could go in a collage were this good.
The screen shot of Carson, the only photo of him that the professional got.  What can I say, he is too speedy to catch on film!
Jay receiving his Bronze medal - he did not stop grinning all day!
The Bronze winners!  The beat the other Medicine Hat team in the bronze medal game.  It was a tough win.

As part of the tourney they have raffles set up.  We spent $10 on ten tickets and I let the boys put the tickets in on whatever prize they wanted.  Jay and Nathan both choose this mini vending machine as a good option, and one of our tickets won.

The haul.  They were so excited to eat all their candy.

Investiture at Cub Scouts

Every year the new cub scouts are invested at a ceremony.  Tonight was Jay's investiture.  In addition to this the boys receive their badges that they have earned for the year.

Piano Recital

Unfortunately I didn't catch his wave to the crowd as he sat down and casually turned through the pages of his book to find his songs.  He is such a ham, and loves being the centre of attention!
After a long school year of practising piano, tonight was the year end recital.  We were a little late because of lacrosse but we made it and here are some pictures to prove it.

Sadly the videos did not turn out the way they should.  You catch a little bit of his attitude here, though!

Rusty

Rusty is now big enough to jump up onto the bed without help.  This isn't necessarily a good thing.  She doesn't jump up unless there is something that she wants though.  This day it was Eeyore.
Rusty graduated from Puppy school.  Trying to get a dog to pose with a mortar on it's head is very interesting to say the least!  Rusty performed well for her 'exam'.  She did things that she had never accomplished at home while practising.  It was a total fluke!

Nathan decided he preferred getting his picture taken with Storm, a German Shepherd in Rusty's class.  We let Rusty & Storm play together one night after class and they chased each other around like no tomorrow.  Nathan is sad that he won't see Storm again and thought we should trade Rusty for Storm.

The Boys....

I tried to get some pictures of the boys tonight.  They weren't totally cooperating.  I mostly wanted one of Jay for his baptism announcement.  Didn't work out like I planned.

Kub Kar races 2015

The cut outs!  Thank you to the great leaders that took the boys to cut out their cars on a night just for them as we were out of town the day the group went to cut them.
Jay wouldn't pose with his for me so Daddy had to threaten to kiss him to get a picture.
