Spring Fun

Cereal wars.  Just before Claudette came back from the Philippines the boys decided to have a cereal morning and they got to pick, pour and eat.  Jay picked Trix and a large bowl of it, too!  He promised me he would eat every one as he poured the milk in.  You can see that he wasn't using small bites either to try to get to the bottom of that bowl.  He didn't make it.  Nathan picked Fruity Pebbles and he thought that using 'a daddy spoon' would help him get to the end of his bowl the quickest...  he didn't finish his wither.  Clarke says that everything at our house is a competition and finishing your food first is a bit of a pride thing at our house.  The winner on this day though was Carson.  Not because he was especially speedy, more because he didn't take as much food as his brothers.  I still don't know how he can eat some of the stuff he does.  His choice: Captain Crunch with Crunchberries and Fruit Loops mixed together.  Yuck, yuck and yuck!   I had Cheerios.  Apparently that's not cool though if you are 6 and under!  And although technically I did finish before they all did, it didn't count because I am the mom.

Soccer season started again at the beginning of May.  Carson is now playing TimBits Soccer with the MedHat Soccer Association while Jay is still in Tiny Tots.  Jay is excited to play for the Bulldogs!  Even better, one of the girls on the team has a bulldog so he will be in their official team photo with them.  I think that's great!  He's 4 and they have a mascot!
I thought Nathan was too young as he doesn't turn 3 until end of August.  Turns out I could have pushed for him but seeing as I already have to be in two different places at once on Wednesdays it's probably best that I don't have to herd Nathan on the field as well as off.  Nathan has a new friend though, Wyatt.  Wyatt is the son of Jay's coach, Robin. I try to distract Wyatt so Robin can coach.  Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.  Food helps.  Nathan also helps.  The first night Wyatt and Nathan shared an apple out of my purse.  Some of the parents around me commented that they hoped the boys were good friends as the literally were feeding each other the apple.  Sadly the pictures of them sharing the apple were blurry.  There is a great one though of them standing by each other watching their brothers play soccer.
Wyatt and Nathan

Nathan is smiling so I think this is a hug although could easily turn into a choke hold!
Sprinkler fun.  While I went to a RS meeting last Thursday the boys broke out the sprinkler & got goofy on the front lawn.  I asked Claudette to please take pictures as it looked like they were having tons of fun.
Running through the sprinklers.
It turned into a water fight at some point!

Getting dry at the end.
